A growing engineering consultancy has officially opened its new offices as it prepares for further expansion.
The Rolton Group, which now employs 22 people in Peterborough, has relocated from its previous offices in Minerva Business Park, Lynch Wood, to larger premises just a short distance away in Commerce Road, also in Lynch Wood.
The new office was officially opened by the leader of Peterborough City Council, Councillor John Holdich.
Peter Rolton, chairman of the Rolton Group, said: “The opening of our new Peterborough office marks the latest milestone in Rolton Group’s successful 35 year history.
“We look forward to expanding the team in Peterborough further over the coming years.
He said: “We’re continuing to create local jobs to serve our market-leading, national clients.
“Our continued success is testament to our team’s reputation of providing professional engineering advice, strategy and implementation across a wide range of industry sectors.”
Coun Holdich said: “Peterborough has a long history of successful engineering firms so it’s fantastic to see Rolton Group continue to go from strength to strength.
“Not only are they working with major household names on innovative engineering projects they are also investing in training up the next generation. I wish the company and all of their staff the very best in their new home and to a bright future.”
The Rolton Group now has 81 employees across three Midlands offices. The company has achieved continued growth year on year.
It recently announced a 13 per cent increase in annual turnover and multiple new client wins, including the UK’s fourth largest supermarket, Morrisons, as well as Nottingham Trent University.
To meet the demand, the business continues to train a future generation of engineers having taken on 12 graduates and three apprentices over the past year.
