A leading delivery company in Peterborough is seeking to recruit 31 drivers.

DPD, which operates from a 37,000 sq ft purpose built depot off the Fletton Parkway, wants the drivers to join its expanding owner-driver franchise programme at its Peterborough depot.

This means more opportunities for drivers in our Peterborough depot, which is expanding rapidly.

Dwain McDonald, chief executive of DPD, said: “We are expanding our network and our capacity nationwide to meet the continuing demand from our retail and other business customers.

“That means more opportunities for drivers in our Peterborough depot, which is growing rapidly.

“We are looking for people who are passionate about delivering a great customer service and being their own boss.

“We have invested in our technology, our people and our infrastructure consistently for a number of years now, so our drivers have the very best tools for the job and the level of support you’d expect from a successful and award winning company.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the nation’s favourite parcel delivery company and effectively run your own business.”

In the last five years, DPD has experienced unprecedented levels of growth in the UK due largely to the success of its Predict service and the boom in online retail.

In turn, the company has invested £250 million to ensure its technology and network are continuously improved.

DPD is a member of DPDgroup, one of Europe’s leading parcels groups, wholly owned by France’s La Poste, the second largest postal group in Europe.

The company employs more than 9,000 people in the UK, operating more than 3,000 vehicles from over 50 locations and delivering 1.6 million parcels per week.
