Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts launched his new charity single on Peterborough-based Ideal World TV.
Proceeds of the Christmas classic, Silent Night, will be donated to Tearfund which helps to bring hope to those affected by the Syrian war, particularly women and children.
He said: “It’s fantastic to be invited to record for such a worthwhile cause.
“Silent Night is such an iconic carol and this update to the traditional carol really adds some sparkle.
“I hope that people enjoy it as much as I do.”
Paul Potts appeared on Ideal World, based in Newark Road, to launch his charity song and to promote his new album ‘Home’.
Throughout the one hour appearance on Britain’s leading TV shopping channel, he was interviewed and entertained viewers with new tracks including Il Mio Miracolo, When We Dance and Non Ti Scordar.
Ideal World broadcasts to about 23 million homes with the UK TV shopping market worth £756 million.
