Burghley Game and Country Fair once again proves a success
The event returned to Burghley House on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday for the ninth year, providing four arenas with country sports and pursuits at their very best.
New for this year was the Fire Queen - the only female motorcycle stunt rider - who drew whoops and cheers during her display in which she biked through a wall of flames. Six Suffolk shire horses with a musical interpretation also impressed the crowds.

There was a craft village and a good show with chef demonstrations, as well as falconry, vuibtage vehicles, owl shows, hampster displays and children’s amusements.
Mark Hulme, from event organisers Living Heritage, said it was a fantastic weekend.
Numbers were slightly down on Monday which Mark said was down to an inclement weather forecast. But the rain stayed away for the two days and hundreds of visitors made the most of the attractions on offer.

“Overall it was a great weekend and we look forward to returning next year for our 10th year.”
