Broadway was closed in Peterborough city centre following a threat to destroy a building on the busy street on Monday morning (26 January).
Staff at recruitment agency City Resource Ltd received the call at about 8.30am, saying their building would be destroyed.
Broadway was shut between 9.20am and 10am on Monday following the call as police advised staff in the premises, and in neighbouring buildings, to leave, and a cordon was put in place at Central Library and at the Job Centre.
A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “We were called at today at 8.41am in response to a telephone threat received by a business in Broadway, Peterborough.
“As a precaution the building and local business were evacuated.
“The property was searched and nothing suspicious was found.”
Anyone with information about the call is asked to call police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
