Hundreds of bargains – most £1 or under - will be up for grabs at the city’s biggest charity sale of the year on Saturday.
Crowds of shoppers are expected at the Chernobyl Children’s Appeal sale from 10am to noon at All Saints’ Church Hall, Park Road, Peterborough (opposite Central Park).
Organisers John and Rosie Sandall are raising money for their 40th charity trip to Ukraine at Christmas. They support many disabled children and their families in the aftermath of the world’s worst nuclear disaster at Chernobyl in 1986.
Items on sale will include household goods, collectables, jewellery, books, toys and baby equipment.
Coffee will also be available.
