A47 to remain both ways all afternoon after very serious crash between lorry and van

The air ambulance has landed at the scene and is working alongside fire, police and land ambulance crews after the van left the road and came to rest in a ditch following the crash.

Emergency services were called at 12.40pm this afternoon, Wednesday June 22, to the A47 at South Brink between Guyhirn and Wisbech.

Details of injuries to those involved are not known at this time but motorists are asked to avoid the area.

Police said the road will remain closed until at least rush hour this evening.
