A1 blocked near Stamford after second crash this afternoon

The A1 near Stamford is blocked for the second time this afternoon, Thursday June 2, after another crash.

One lane blocked northbound at the B1081, Burghley turning. Delays are back to the A47 at Wansford.

A Highways England spokesman said a crash had taken place which has resulted in “a truck becoming stranded in road.”

It follows a serious crash earlier this afternoon to the north of Stamford which closed the A1 in both directions.More here as we have it...
