More than a million lights will herald in the start of Christmas with one of the biggest displays in the country.
The display at Duncombes Road, Turves, will be lit for the first time at 5pm tomorrow (Friday, December 1).
Along with bringing the festive spirit to the village, the display - which has been set up by Robert Dempsey, also raises money for Cancer Research.
Last year the lights raised £18,000, having raised a total of £14,000 over the previous two years.
Mr Dempsey said: “We have more than a million lights, at the front and back of the house. We have two nativity scenes, and lots of new decorations. We have some big trees this year.
“We also have car parking for around 40 cars this year, and a portaloo as well.
“Everyone who comes will get a sweet.”
The lights will be turned on between 5pm and 9pm every day until December 24.
Mr Dempsey said: “It too about a month to get everything set up. We had John Watson Electrical Services come and bring their staff down to help it all get set up.”
Father Christmas will be at the switch on tomorrow.
