40 staff evacuated after fire at Serpentine Green Shopping Centre
Staff had to be evacuated from Serpentine Green Shopping Centre after a serious fire in the complex.
Crews from Stanground and Yaxley were called to the Serpentine Green Shopping Centre after a sweet stall caught fire at 7.05pm last night, Sunday February 19.
Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, which was accidental, and returned to their stations by 8.09pm.
The shopping centre had already closed for the day but around 40 members of staff had to be evacuated before fire crews arrived.
