Vivacity Arts are hosting three theatre and dance residencies at Key Theatre this month.

Over the course of three weeks TrashDolly’s Dance Theatre, Stream Lyric and Lamphouse Theatre Company will develop their most recent productions which are due to tour in the near future!

As part of these residencies, the creative directors of each company will be teaching four high-energy master classes where they will share their expertise with participants.

Each workshop offers something different, with Tom Fox leading two workshops on physical theatre where you will explore how the body can tell stories; Sam Amos will be revealing his choreographic tools for dance makers in his movement vocabulary workshop; and Tamsin Flower will help you to springboard your ideas into action with her storyboarding to devising workshop.

On July 13 and 20 (6 – 7.30PM) join Tom Fox for two workshops designed for everyone and a preview of a performance heading for the Edinburgh Festival. Suitable for 15+

Tom is a theatre practitioner and director from Peterborough. His work crosses disciplines such as improvisation, movement and music. He is founder of Lamphouse Theatre Company, a new vibrant fringe theatre company

On Monday, July 18 (7pm to 8.30pm) Tamsin Flower will hold a very accessible workshop that uses playful techniques to generate your story in words and pictures before putting it on its feet in a group context. The evening should help you springboard ideas into action and banish your inner critic! Suitable for 15+.

And on Thursday, July 14 (6 - 7.30pm), learn how you can unlock power in unlikely positions, whilst maintaining effortless flow and control, enrich your movement vocabulary and gain useful choreographic tools for dance makers with the TrashDollys.

Suitable for all movers.
