Affectionately known as the ‘Oscars of the Pub Industry’ the John Smith’s GB Pub awards celebrate excellence in stand-out pubs and this year is hosted by comedian Russel Kane. The White Hart has been nominated in the ‘Best Inn’ category;where accommodation offer has been a core part of their business success in the last year. Beating hundreds of other entries, The White Hart is up against pubs from across the country and will find out in September whether they have won. If the pub wins their category they are in with a chance of winning the prestigious ‘Overall John Smith’s Great British Pub of the Year 2018.’

Lisa Olver, Wedding Coordinator said: “We are extremely pleased to be nominated. Over the last 4 years it has been getting steadily busier for us. We are absolutely over the moon!”

The 17th century pub offers twelve beautifully appointed rooms which are individually designed; cooperating old and new in their stylings.

Speaking about what makes The White Hart stand out, Supervisor Danny Shackle said: “We have got the best of both worlds, we have the old English style of the pub which brings in the locals and the restaurant is high end with an a la carte menu. Our location is great, between Stamford and Peterborough, we are very fortunate to have what we have.”

The event is on September 6 at The Royal Lancaster in London. More information about The White Hart can be found here: http://www.whitehartufford.co.uk/
