There is nothing like getting out for a walk in the countryside with a group of friends, reviving body and soul and walkers in the group cannot wait to get back out there, walking and talking with friends.

The Ramblers Association has indicated that walks of up to 30 people are allowed again as walking with a group is counted as an organised outdoor activity and has sent guidance to groups on what we can and can’t do.

All walkers have to book on a walk before the start and a register is kept.

So if you see a large group of people walking through your village, it will probably be members of the Ramblers Association, enjoying a socially distanced walk in the countryside.

They’re always pleased to see new faces and anyone who wants to walk can join simply by booking on to a walk.

Walks for April are as follows:

Thursday, 8th April at 1.30pm: Wansford to Yarwell Lock, Ring Haw and Old Sulehay (5 miles).
