New bands added to rock festival line-up

The line-up for the main stage at this year's Cambridge Rock Festival - at Haggis Farm Polo Club from August 4-7 '“ has been boosted this week with the addition of Space Elevator, FullHouse and Malcolm Bruce.

Space Elevator’s eponymously titled debut album forges a contemporary twist on the classic sounds drawn from their wide-ranging influences including the biggest names in rock history, brilliantly fronted by flamboyant lead singer “The Duchess” who was voted best female rock singer on various AOR and classic rock websites in 2015.

Full House were the band behind the legendary Frankie Miller . They will be performing many of his songs, including the huge hit “Be Good To Yourself”.

Full House comprise original guitarist Ray Minhinnett, Dave Colwell (Bad Company & Humble Pie), Terry Dresser (Paul Kosoff’s Back Street Crawler), Clive Edwards (UFO & Wild Horses), David Boyce (QuireBoys).

As the son of the legendary Jack Bruce (Cream), Malcolm Bruce has always been immersed in a musical environment. He grew up hearing and experiencing firsthand some of the finest musicians around. The list of people he has worked reads like a Who’s Who of music.

They join 26 other bands so far announced for the main stage, including Jim Cregan & Co, Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy, Hazel O’Connor, Pink Fairies, Focus, Curved Air, Mostly Autumn, The Windmill and Purson.

The festival will again feature an “Alternative” stage, which on the Friday will be hosted by the UK’s Classic Rock Society. Headliners will be Sheffield based Haze. Formed in the late 70s by brothers Chris & Paul McMahon, they established their reputation as one of the hardest working underground bands of the 80s, They are supported by Voodoo Vegas, a high energy 5 piece rock band.
