International artist's debut in Peterborough
Alexander Milovezorov has extensively exhibited his work throughout eastern Europe and is starting to gain international acclaim in the west with exhibitions in Budapest, Zagreb, Paris and Germany and now with his first exhibition here in England and the UK.
Alexander’s work addresses powerful subjects which relate to religious beliefs and practices, in its people and traditions which he expresses in his art with almost a childish form which so skilfully portrays, captures, and addresses the powerful cultural heritage and history of his beloved country Ukraine, in the series of works named “My Shevchenkiana” and the ‘Golden Pages of Ukrainian Folklore’.
The exhibition opens with a private viewing on Saturday (August 6, 11am-6pm) and runs until September 3.
