S&R Investors, which has a registered office in Lincoln Road, wants to proceed with the conversion of The Carpenters Arm in South Street, Stanground, which closed 12 months ago.

The planning application contains few details but asks for permission to change the building’s use from a public house to a ground floor beauty parlour with the first floor converted into two flats.

The plans show there would be space in the beauty parlour for a reception, customer waiting area, four treatment rooms, two storage areas and an office, as well as staff and customer toilets and a staff kitchen.

Each flat would have two bedrooms, a bathroom and a joint kitchen/lounge area.

The application will now be considered by the council’s planning department.
