Loch Fyne restaurant at Elton to close after 30 years

The Loch Fyne Seafood and Grill restaurant in the the village of Elton near Peterborough has closed permanently

The restaurant, in a beautiful converted old dairy on the approach to the village from the A605, opened in 1990 - one of the first Loch Fyne venues.

However it closed in March due to the measures imposed by the government in the battle against Covid-19.

Today, however,a spokesman for Loch Fyne - taken over by Green King Ltd in 2006 - revealed it would not be reopening.

A spokesperson said:“We can confirm that this restaurant is now closed.

“It is always a difficult decision to close a restaurant, and we would like to assure you that we are working with the team to find them alternative roles in the area.

“We’re very thankful of all our guests that have visited us over the years, you’ve all made it very special.

“We’re so very sorry for any disappointment caused.”
