Garden revamp with outdoor bar planned at Peterborough pub

Major external works are being planned at The Boathouse, at Thorpe Meadows,by brewers Greene King

The company has submitted a varied licensing plan to Peterborough city council’s licensing department to take account of the changes and include the external area for sale and consumption of alcohol.

The garden development scheme works are to involve the removal of the existing children’s play area.

A new external bar and kitchen will be built, as will two new covered pergola booth seats, huge new raised decking area and a new entrance canopy to the main entrance.

A Greene King spokesperson said the project was still in the design stage.
