The Six Bells and Chubby Castor are two names among the 13 restaurants in this area, chosen by the Michelin Guide.

Whether it’s near the city itself, or a short way away in Rutland or Cambridge, there is no shortage of top quality places to eat.

The past year has been extremely tough for the hospitality trade – but despite restaurants having to remain mostly shut since last March, the annual Michelin Guide’s authors haven’t been deterred in their mission to highlight fine cooking.

Work on this year’s guide started in August 2019 and was largely complete when the first national lockdown began in March 2020, judges said.
