Bringing fresh, local and innovative sandwiches, the new venture promises to be a welcome addition to Stamford’s daytime offerings, with sandwiches such as ‘Divine Swine’, roast porchetta (rolled loin and belly from Groovy Foods in Bourne) stuffed with herbs and garlic, served warm on a rustic baguette from Hambleton Bakery with salsa verde.

Since opening its doors on Wednesday, last week in Red Lion Street, the deli has already received an influx of positive comments from its new customers.

Co-owner Jim Davis said: “We definitely think it’s time Stamford had something like BreadMeatCheese. As a high end sandwich shop we offer made to order sandwiches, all cooked fresh using locally sourced ingredients. It’s only early days yet, but we’re ready to roll and make Bread Meat Cheese a popular place amongst the people of Stamford.”

Currently the shop is open from Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 3pm.
