Last week, the Peterborough Telegraph featured a number of dogs that were available for adoption in and around Peterborough from Wood Green The Animals Charity. They are just one of the many brilliant animal charities doing good work in the region.
The Peterborough and District Branch of the RSPCA do so much to rescue, nurture and subsequently rehome dogs in the area. They have continued to operate throughout lockdown and within a small radius are still permitted to rehome these animals.
Below are a selection of those that have been rescued and are in need of their forever home.
To find more details on each dog and to search for more rescue animals, visit www.rspca.org.uk/findapet/rehomeapet/process.
The RSPCA are funded entirely by public donations and receive no government money and therefore rely on the generosity of the public. Anyone wishing to support their work do so via www.rspca.org.uk/getinvolved/donate.
1. Skip (3 years)
Skip is a sweet boy who loves lots of fuss and attention and adores people. He has had a difficult start to life so is looking for a home where he can build a strong bond with his new family. He does love his walks but he can be strong on the lead so will need some continued training to help with his lead work. Skip knows his basic commands but would benefit from further training and socialisation.
2. Shadow (3 years)
This big black beauty is Shadow. She is 3 years old and her absolute favourite thing is to play a good game of fetch. Shadow lives with a foster family who have been working very hard on her training. She is very calm, and well behaved in the home, and respectful of the resident cats who she views as her pack!
3. Louie (8 years)
He is a loving boy who adores being with people and being all cuddled. He is currently in a foster home where is is enjoying being showered with fuss and attention. Louie is a fun loving boy who loves to play and go on walks. He is generally good on the lead but can pull a little at times. He would love a home with a spacious garden for him to play and explore in.
4. Pable (2 years)
Pablo is a fun-loving 2 year old, terrier cross looking for his forever home where he will be a loving part of the family. He is a sweet boy who loves to play and be active and enjoys with walks. Pablo likes to play so would love a home with a secure garden for him to explore and run around in. He does know some commands but would benefit from some basic training and also some socialisation around unfamiliar dogs.
