They are a sweet pair who love to be curled up next to you and have lots of cuddles and fuss. Daisy can be a little wary of men at times but is growing well in confidence, so would like a patient home who are happy to help her with this. They both love their walks and they are good on the lead.

Last week, the Peterborough Telegraph featured a number of dogs that were available for adoption in and around Peterborough from Wood Green The Animals Charity. They are just one of the many brilliant animal charities doing good work in the region.

The Peterborough and District Branch of the RSPCA do so much to rescue, nurture and subsequently rehome dogs in the area. They have continued to operate throughout lockdown and within a small radius are still permitted to rehome these animals.

Below are a selection of those that have been rescued and are in need of their forever home.

Skip is a sweet boy who loves lots of fuss and attention and adores people. He has had a difficult start to life so is looking for a home where he can build a strong bond with his new family. He does love his walks but he can be strong on the lead so will need some continued training to help with his lead work. Skip knows his basic commands but would benefit from further training and socialisation.

Eve (with the fluffy ears) and Dasher find themselves at Southridge and are looking for a home together. Eve is a shy girl which may have something to do with her being deaf but she is slowly starting to come out of her shell. They can not live with any small animals such as cats or rabbits and when out on walks as `sight hounds` they will be very interested in wildlife. A family unit with children of 14 years and older would be great for them. We`re looking for a quiet household as Eve can be timid. She very much relies on Dasher for confidence.

This gorgeous girl is Blue. She arrived into our care through no fault of her own with her friend Brook and is looking for a new family to call her own. Blue was very slow and quiet when she first arrived in our care. After some tests, we found out that she is hypothyroid! This means that her thyroid gland doesn’t work properly and it was making her feel sluggish and lethargic. Since being on her medication Blue has a new lease of life and has so much more energy!
