Last week, the Peterborough Telegraph featured a number of dogs that were available for adoption in and around Peterborough. Just as important to so many of course are our cats.
The Peterborough and District Branch of the RSPCA do so much to rescue, nurture and subsequently rehome cats in the area. They have continued to operate throughout lockdown and within a small radius are still permitted to rehome these animals.
Below are a selection of those that have been rescued and are in need of their forever home.
The RSPCA are funded entirely by public donations and receive no government money and therefore rely on the generosity of the public. Anyone wishing to support their work do so via www.rspca.org.uk/getinvolved/donate.
1. Frank (6 years)
Frank came to us as an injured stray, but despite spending a stint on the streets (we're unsure exactly how big of a stint) he is a loving lad once he's gets to know you. Whilst he's no lap cat, Frank loves his sleep - in fact he can get a bit grouchy without it - and enjoys sleeping on comfy chairs and blanket covered windowsills to catch some z's. Photo: Midlands
2. Woody (14 years)
This is Woody! He was brought into RSPCA care via the Local Authorities as he was very unwell and living in a group of stray cats. Now he has fully recovered he is ready to look for a new forever home. Woody was very poorly with cat-flu when he arrived in our care but he has always been very grateful for us caring for him. He is a very sweet and affectionate cat but can be rather forceful at times. He knows what he wants and will certainly let you know! Photo: Midlands
3. Darwin (5 years)
This beautiful fella was a long time stray who came to us with a few war wounds caused by fighting. He is approximately 5 years old. Darwin is a friendly cat who loves treat time and fuss. He can be wary of strangers and easily startled but we are sure he will blossom in a loving home. We would like to find Darwin a home with no other cats and where any children are no younger than 10 years old. Photo: Midlands
4. Mischief (13 years)
This beautiful big boy is Mischief and he has found himself in RSPCA care due to him needing medical attention and no owners to care for him. After seeing a vet and receiving the treatment he needed, he is now ready to look for his forever home. Photo: Midlands
