Previously, fans were locked out of games as a punishment for bad behaviour.

Posh fell foul of this in the FA Cup in 1992 when they played non-league Kingstonian in a 1st round replay at London Road.

The FA ordered the game to be replayed on December 4 behind closed doors and this time they scraped through 1-0.

Those scenes were in sharp contrast to a year and a day before when the mighty Liverpool faced Posh in a League Cup tie.

The boys in blue humbled the northern giants 1-0 with Garry Kimble scoring the winner past Bruce Grobbelaar.

The game was played on December 3, 1991 and 14,114 fans packed into London Road to witness one of the greatest nights in Posh history.
