“Our consultants will be covering the roles of our absent junior colleagues across the trust. Our clinic teams have already contacted those patients whose appointments have been affected.

“If you have not been contacted, your appointment will continue as planned.

“I would like to reassure patients that patients will continue to receive high quality care. I would also like to thank our staff for their support during the strike period.”

Peterborough City Hospital has already confirmed that it is working towards implementing the new junior doctor contracts.
