VIDEO: Operations and around 700 outpatient clinics cancelled at Peterborough City Hospital as junior doctors prepare full walk-out
The row over contracts will lead to junior doctors striking between 8am and 5pm today (Tuesday, April 26) and tomorrow.
Dr Kanchan Rege, medical director, said: “Staff across the trust will continue to work together during the planned strike action carried out by junior doctors on Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 April between 8am and 5pm.

“Our consultants will be covering the roles of our absent junior colleagues across the trust. Our clinic teams have already contacted those patients whose appointments have been affected.
“If you have not been contacted, your appointment will continue as planned.
“I would like to reassure patients that patients will continue to receive high quality care. I would also like to thank our staff for their support during the strike period.”
Peterborough City Hospital has already confirmed that it is working towards implementing the new junior doctor contracts.
