Resident concerned at plans to expand private hospital
The proposed extensions would create a new administration accommodation with a theatre suite, a plant room in the roof, and a new single storey waiting room.
Internal remodelling works would also go ahead to the restaurant, physiotherapy department and main reception, while external works would see the creation of additional parking bays.

Firstly, he states that Peterborough City Hospital “should provide everything needed for the area served.”
He goes on to add: “The proposed administration accommodation and theatre suite are of three storey construction, to which we have previously objected.
“The adjacent housing estate is based upon two storeys, as was the original hospital.

Further objections are made about the lack of parking - with the current provision described as “insufficient” - and the plant room which it is said will be a noise nuisance.
The application for the extensions was sent into the council on March 16.
It is currently unknown whether a council planning officer or the council’s planning committee will make the final decision on the extension.
The Fitzwilliam Hospital is operated by Ramsay Health Care UK, but it was not possible to contact anyone from the company for comment.
