Peterborough residents can have their say on Urgent Treatment Centre location plans

The Urgent Treatment Centre is currently located at the City Care Centre in Thorpe Road, Peterborough. The new proposal plans to relocate the Urgent Care Centre to Peterborough City Hospital in the future to bring all urgent and emergency care in one place to make it as easy as possible for people to get the help they need.

As part of the BIG conversation, where the local NHS spoke to the local community about how they would like to access and use NHS services in the future, 73% of people said they would like just one place to contact for advice and treatment that could book them an urgent appointment with the right service within two days, or sooner if needed.

People are now being asked to share their views on this specific proposal at a virtual event taking place on Thursday 10 September from 5.30pm until 7pm via MS Teams. It is free for any to join via their laptop, computer, tablet or smartphone and the meeting will allow people to find out more about the proposals, ask any questions they may have and share their views on the proposals.

The consultation runs until Wednesday 30 September, and so far almost 700 people have shared their views with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the NHS organisation running the consultation.
