Peterborough man taken to hospital suffering heat exhaustion

A man suffering from heat exhaustion in Peterborough has been taken to hospital for treatment.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) received a call today (Tuesday, 19th July) at 1.37pm to reports of the incident which happened near Fengate, Peterborough.

The incident happened on the hottest day of the year so far.

An ambulance officer and ambulance crew were scrambled and treated the man, believed to be in his 40s, before taking him to Peterborough City Hospital for further care.
