‘Small number of pupils’ isolating after positive coronavirus test at Peterborough secondary school

A small number of pupils are self isolating after a positive test for coronavirus at a Peterborough school.

Staff at Arthur Mellows Village College are taking the precautions following the test.

A spokesman for the school said: “I can confirm that Arthur Mellows has had one positive Covid-19 test and that a small number of students who have gone through the track and trace process are self-isolating.

“The College is working in conjunction with Public Health England and the Department for Education with regard to our processes being followed and Peterborough Local Authority have been extremely supportive to the College during this time.”

There have been a number of confirmed tests at Peterborough schools since term started earlier this month, including at Nene Park Academy where more than 60 pupils are self isolating.
