The six COVID hotspots in Peterborough as city enters Tier 3

As Peterborough enters Tier 3 this morning, there are six areas of the city with a COVID rate of more than 400 cases per 100,000 people.

Of the 22 areas Peterborough has been split up into for coronavirus statistics, 21 have a rating above the national average - with only Orton Malborne and Goldhay falling below the average.

In the seven days ending on December 12, six areas have a score of more than 400, with Peterborough Central seeing the highest rate, with 529.3.

Figures published last night showed that the city’s latest overall rate per 100,00 for the seven days to December 14 was 321.4, which represented 650 new cases compared to 220.0 the previous week (445 new cases).
