Photographs of the first people to receive the vaccine were shared on Facebook by the hospital - which has been named as a vaccine hub. A spokesman for the hospital said: "We are very excited to share photos of the first people to receive the Covid-19 vaccine at our Trust. This included 3 members of the public, who fall into the over 80s priority category. June and John are the first married couple to get vaccinated in the Peterborough area

"Some vaccines have also been received by clinically vulnerable staff members, like Daisy, pictured here. Daisy has been shielding during the pandemic and has returned to work to have her vaccine.

"Today marks a momentous occasion for our staff and patients and we are looking forward to getting vaccinations underway."

Residents will receive messages about when they will be able to receive the vaccine, with a majority of people being vaccinated in the new year.
