Conker World Championships called off due to COVID
The World Conker Championships has become the latest event to be called due to the COVID pandemic.
The annual event, held in Southwick, near Oundle, normally takes place on the second Saturday of October every year, and attracts thousands of people from across the globe to try and win the title.
However, the organisers have said this year’s event will not be taking place.

This decision was not taken lightly, but after much deliberation we have decided this is the safest and wisest choice. We hope to return at full strength next year for the 2021 Championships.”
