Members of the public can participate in the virtual Council of Governors meeting for North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust by submitting questions for the governors and Trust board members to discuss.

Earlier this year, the Trust, which runs Peterborough City, Hinchingbrooke and Stamford and Rutland Hospitals, took the decision to limit attendance at meetings and run virtual meetings, in order to keep staff and patients safe during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Council of Governors will meet using virtual meeting technology on Tuesday 8 September. They will be updated on the operational and financial performance of the hospitals over the past three months. In keeping with regular Council of Governors meetings, there will be a question and answer session at the end of the meeting, where members of the public can submit questions that relate to the Council of Governors’ meeting agenda and papers which are published on the Trust website at https://www.nwangliaft.nhs.uk/about-us/our-council-of-governors/.

Rob Hughes, Chairman of North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are still getting used to running our meetings virtually, but this is a great way to involve a wider group of people in the way our hospitals are run. We would welcome members of the public to submit any questions they have to the Council of Governors for consideration using the email: [email protected]. The papers for the meeting are now live on our website.”

Questions must be related to the business on the Council of Governors agenda and must be received by midnight on Sunday 6 September 2020.
