Anger at ‘misuse’ of NHS in Peterborough - LETTER

In recent years my husband has had several problems and on every occasion we have received excellent treatment from what we know are overworked staff.

However, every time we visit I am appalled by the number of people who do not turn up for appointments, the same occurs at our GP surgery. I feel very angry and think action should be taken against repeat offenders to give genuine patients much needed appointments.

Fortunately I have not used A & E for many years but when we used the drop in centre recently we saw people with sniffles and cut fingers - hardly urgent! Perhaps schools should teach basic healthcare to the children to help them educate their parents!!
