Pupils plant seeds sent from Tim Peake

Students at The Voyager Academy have planted rocket seeds sent from the International Space Station by British astronaut Tim Peake.

The Voyager Academy was one of 10,000 schools across the country to be chosen to receive a batch of seeds, which they planted in a cross-link with the Voyager Nursery as part of their outdoor education programme.

Tools and resources for the experiment were kindly donated by Dobbies Garden Centre.

Principal, Scott Hudson said: “We were thrilled to be chosen to take part in this fascinating initiative. The students from The Voyager Academy and Nursery had a great time planting the seeds and there is certainly a lot of anticipation to see how they grow over time.”
