A-LEVEL RESULTS: Cambridge place for Ken Stimpson pupil

A pupil from Ken Stimpson Community School has won a place at Trinity Hall, one of the colleges at the University of Cambridge.

Josh Cartwright will study natural sciences after securing results of two A* grades and two A grades.

Overall, 66 per cent of exams resulted in A* to C grades, 33 per cent were A* to B, and the overall pass rate was 97 per cent.

Richard Lord, principal, said: “These examination results reflect the hard work and talent of the students and staff at Ken Stimpson Community School.

“The very supportive roles of the students’ parents should also be recognised. I would like to congratulate everybody involved on their achievements and efforts.

“These results mean that the vast majority of students will be able to progress on to some excellent universities.”
