Other students celebrating success included Lucas Leal Abadi who achieved A grades in maths and physics and a B in further maths. Jamie George achieved an A* in sociology, A in English literature and a B in geography.

Principal Steve Howard said: “These are a really pleasing set of results which are well above expectations and outperform our predictions. The results reflect how hard our staff and students have been working recently and I want to congratulate them on their success.

“Last year we had our first ever student go to Oxford University and this success has clearly motivated this year’s students with some terrific individual performances, not least in one of the core subjects, maths.

“On behalf of all staff, I would like to wish our students the best of luck with their future careers and in their new challenges.”
