The graduates wore their gowns and hats for the ceremony, which took place in the shadow of Tim Peake’s Soyuz space capsule - which provided a unique photo opportunity on their special day.

Along with friends and family, the students were joined by dignitaries from the university, and deputy mayor and mayoress of Peterborough Cllrs John and Judy Fox.

The ceremony is the second graduation service to be held at Peterborough Cathedral, following a similar event last week.
