Speed-dating style event to fill 70 jobs at Peterborough's Queensgate

Shop managers at the Queensgate Shopping Centre will host a ‘speed-dating’ style event, designed to match retailers with job hunters.

It will take place on October 11 at Costa Coffee in the centre from 6pm to 8pm and will involve retailers ranging from Boots, Topshop, Clarks, Monsoon, Next and more.

In total there are a minimum of 70 vacancies available.

A Queensgate spokesman said: “Whether you’re a mum or dad looking for a bit of extra income before Christmas, a gap-year student or you’ve retired, it’s important to remember that Queensgate and its retailers celebrate and seek diversity. These opportunities are for everyone.”

Laura Chandler, the centre’s marketing manager, said: “We wanted to think outside the box for our retailer recruitment and we thought this would be a great way to match Queensgate’s retailers with potential candidates.

“It should be a really fun night, and an excellent chance for both job seekers and retailers to ‘test the water’ before any formal interviews take place.”
