And staff at Moore Thompson had the chance to meet up with two of the POSH players who thanked the firm for their backing during the season.

Midfielders Callum Cooke and Louis Reed stopped by for a quick kick about and a chance to tour the firm’s offices in Forder Way, Cygnet Park.

As well as showing the players some of their keen football skills, the team at Moore Thompson also explained the work that they do and talked about their role supporting local businesses.

Mark East, partner at Moore Thompson, said: “It was fantastic to meet Callum and Louis and have a quick game of keepie-uppie. I can safely say none of us has a future career at the club but our accountancy skills are worthy of winning the cup.”

He added: “Our recent move to the town has already made an impression, but we hope that over the next couple of years we can truly transform not only the provision of business, tax and accounting services but lend our expertise and support to the community in Peterborough as well.”
