Joseph Valente flies the flag for the USA.

Buoyed by the success of Trade Mastermind in the UK, entrepreneur Mr Valente (31) is to float the coaching, mentoring and training company in the United States.

He said his sole aim is to support American construction businesses, sole traders and one-man bands to grow.

Mr Valente, who won the BBC Apprentice title in 2015 and built his own plumbing business ImpraGas, based in Yaxley, into a £10 million turnover operation employing 150 staff, said: “My expertise is not only starting businesses but growing them in the right way.”

Mr Valente has previously said that challenging economic conditions in January forced him to sell the ImpraGas brand and assets to entrepreneur Andy Scott, who six months later closed the business because of the pandemic.

He has also said that a shell company owned by himself, VBH Assets, had entered into voluntary liquidation, owing £1.9 million to creditors.

Following on from ImpraGas sale, Mr Valente revealed in January last year he was setting up his coaching business Trade Mastermind, specifically to help owners of small businesses in the construction industry who were good at their trade but in need of help to run their business successfully.

He said: “Trade Mastermind teaches them how to generate more enquiries, drive their sales, increase their profit and grow their income.”

Joseph Valente and Megan Clarke announce their engagement on Valentine's Day 2021.

To kickstart the launch, Mr Valente will be giving the construction industry representatives in the USA the opportunity to join his
