Partnership deal to help new businesses grow on Peterborough
The city’s economic development company Opportunity Peterborough (OP) has teamed up with Enterprise Nation, which is a national small business support network set up by Emma Jones, a small business expert and UK Business Ambassador.
It is hoped the deal will bring a wealth of new business resources to Peterborough entrepreneurs.

Hide AdIt means entrepreneurs who are part of Opportunity Peterborough’s Ignite programme will be able to access Enterprise Nation benefits such as business masterclasses, free e-books, support forums and events.
Steve Bowyer, OP chief executive, said: “Peterborough has a strong entrepreneurial spirit that continues to grow. We want to nurture this momentum.”
Ms Jones said: “Access to our network means entrepreneurs can dip into the rich vein of help we have developed in the UK. We’ll give them access to events where they can speak to buyers, influencers and explore export opportunities in a meaningful way.”
“We’re expecting to see an impressive influx of Peterborough firms getting involved with what we do on a local, national and international level.”

Hide AdOpportunity Peterborough’s Ignite programme was launched in 2014 and since then has supported more than 300 local entrepreneurs to set up and grow their business in the city.
Alongside offering vital start-up guidance such as business and financial planning, Ignite also operates a valuable network of mentors to share their expertise and provides office space for entrepreneurs at its central hub in the city’s Eco Innovation Centre.
