New boss for Market Deeping digital marketing agency

There is a new hand on the helm of a Market Deeping-based digital marketing company.

Zazzle Media, in Sunderland Road, has announced that its strategy director, Richard Marriott, has been appointed as its head of agency.

Mr Marriott, who joined Zazzle six years ago, takes on the role after the company’s founder, Simon Penson, left the business last October for new challenges.

Mr Marriott will be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of Zazzle and will work with its parent company, Stickyeyes, in Leeds - part of the IPG Mediabrands network, one of the so-called ‘Big Four’ global agency companies headquartered in New York.

IPG Mediabrands acquired Zazzle, which has team of 40 staff, three years ago in a £20 million deal.

Mr Marriott said: “I couldn’t have imagined I’d be managing a mass work from home migration and the subsequent impacts of Covid in my first few months in post but I’m immensely proud of the way the team has handled this latest challenge and excited to be leading Zazzle into the next stage of our development.

“Our core focus will continue to be our people and client performance while ensuring closer integration with our colleagues in Leeds and London. Working across the wider group positions us in a really unique place in the market.”
