“Safety of our distributors and the public was paramount and another reason to pause the printed version.

“But we were also committed to helping our advertisers so we continued through lockdown producing the online version.

“We have titles in Woodston, Ramsey, The Hemingfords in St Ives however this new app will mean the Directories’ reach can be even wider.”

Michael Shuster, of Robin Road, in Thorney, said: “We’ve created our mobile app platform so that businesses and organisations can present their information quickly and easily whenever and wherever it may be required.”

Woodston Councillor Andy Coles said: “The disruption of the pandemic has been very difficult but with the launch of this new app, it’s possible to find a local tradesperson who really needs our support to get back on their feet.

“I’m delighted to see this launching in the Woodston area and intend to use it myself to provide council information that is relevant to the area.”

The plan is to replicate the new model across Peterborough, and into more towns and villages in Cambridgeshire.
