Jobs created as toy retailer moves into Peterborough

More than 35 jobs are to be created in Peterborough with the opening of a new toy store

Smyths Toys Superstores are moving into a 16,000 square feet unit at 1b Boongate Retail Park, in Boongate.

The retailer says the new store will create more than 35 jobs ranging from retail assistants to management positions.

Liam Joyce, spokesman for Smyths Toys Superstores, said: “Smyths Toys Superstores are delighted to announce the opening of a new store in Peterborough.

“We offer our consumers an extensive range of high quality products at competitive prices across a great range of toys, bikes and video games.

The Boongate Retail Park opening will take the company’s total store estate in the UK and Ireland to 90 with plans to open a further 10 to 15 stores over the next year.
