Homes builder in Peterborough announces jobs creation

Persimmon Homes East Midlands, which has its headquarters at Peterborough Business Park, is looking for experienced sales people to join the team.

The house builder is also looking for trainees.

Persimmon already employees around 100 people within its regional East Midlands business and is hoping to take on eight new members of staff.

Steven Allenby, sales director at Permission Homes East Midlands, said: “We’re delighted to announce that we are currently recruiting for experienced, quality sales advisers.

“The business continues to grow and we have a big year ahead of us. With the new developments in the pipeline, we’re pleased to be able to bring new jobs to the area.

“What I’m looking for is sales people with proven track records and a strong, positive attitude.

“We want to bring the best people in to help our customers find their dream homes.

“Persimmon also has a well-established training programme for trainees and we are always looking to bring the brightest talent into the business.”

The company, which nationally revealed last week that profits before tax rose by 34 per cent last year to £637.8 million, has plans for new developments in Peterborough, Kirton, Holdingham, Yaxley and Witham this year.

Persimmon Homes East Midlands also has vacancies in a number of other roles, including site manager and forklift driver.

Nationally, Persimmon employs 4,500 people and builds more than 14,500 homes a year.
