Hi-tech experts connect historic Burghley House to the 21st century
Staff at the stately home in Stamford have suffered from slow broadband speeds, poor Wifi and slow transactions that have left them and customers frustrated.
Now Microbyte Solutions, of Commerce Road, Lynchwood, has been selected to modernise Burghley’s telecommunications and IT infrastructure.

Hide AdYusuf Yeganeh, managing director of Microbyte, said: “We have begun the long journey to bring the 16th century country house into the 21st century.
“The existing system was disjointed.
“The new digital network will allow Burghley House to provide an increased level of customer service, vastly improved broadband facilities across the site and a much better technology provision for the prestigious events such as the Burghley Horse Trials.
“We were kept on our toes with a variety of risk assessments, method statements and health and safety policies before being given the greenlight.
“The work will be carried out over the coming months with other IT projects being evaluated in the very near future. The intended investment in IT and the overall network infrastructure is significant.”
