Chemical manufacturer challenges engineering students to improve its production
Nineteen-year-olds Henry Morley and Gregory Sale, of Cambridge University, have joined Safapac as interns for the summer as part of their course.
The firm has challenged them to examine its manufacturing process and devise ways of making it more efficient.

Hide AdMr Morley, of Oakham, said: “I am excited to be here because Safapac is entrusting us with a project that has real business objectives.”
Mr Sale, of Stamford, added: “This is our first professional environment so we weren’t sure what to expect, but Safapac’s team is both highly supportive and collaborative.”
The pair have mapped out Safapac’s production process, showing where efficiencies could be made.
Managing director Barry Cornett said: “I’m sure they will make a valuable contribution to our business.” It is the third year Safapac has accepted summer interns.
