Accolade for fast growing Wisbech components firm as its creates Covid taskforce

An electronic components supplier has been named as one of the fastest growing profit makers in the UK.

Anglia Components, in Sandall Road, Wisbech, saw its profits soar by more than 62 per cent over three years to the end of 2018 to £7.1 million.

Over the same period, turnover at the company, which has 145 staff and stocks more than one billion components from over 900,000 product lines in the UK, reached a record high of £66.9 million.

The company has just secured its first inclusion in the 21st Sunday Times Profit Track Covid-19 league table in 42nd place out of 70 companies.

It was also been praised for its creation of a task force to ensure components reached firms designing or manufacturing ventilators and other vital medical equipment to help address the Covid-19 emergency.
