Toney netted as Brentford returned to form in style at Preston yesterday (April 10). The Bees won 5-0, but look likely to have to settle for a play-off place for the second season in a row.
Only Glenn Murray (Crystal Palace) has scored 30 goals in a Championship season since the second tier was renamed.

Hide AdIt wasn’t such a good day in the Championship for ex-on loan Posh player Josh Knight who suffered the first red card of his career playing for Wycombe against Luton.
The Chairboys were 1-0 up at home when Knight was dismissed for serious foul play just before the hour mark and it proved costly as Luton scored three times in the final 10 minutes to win 3-1. Another former Posh loanee George Moncus scored the equaliser direct from a free kick.
In League One former Posh skipper Jack Baldwin conceded the penalty from which Northampton Town scored their equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers in a big relegation battle at Sixfields.
In League Two another old Posh loanee Lloyd Isgrove scored as Bolton maintained their push for promotion with a 2-1 home win over Harrogate. Marcus Maddison started just his fourth game for Bolton since his move North in January, but was taken off at half-time with his side 1-0 down.
Ex-Posh centre-back Carl Piergianni scored his fifth goal of the season in Oldham’s 5-2 win over Colchester.
